About my photography:

I am a photographer located in Colorado Springs, Colorado that loves and enjoys capturing unique moments for High School Seniors, Couples, Families, Sports, and Events in El Paso County to include: Colorado Springs, Monument, Falcon, Ft Carson, Fountain, and Manitou Springs.

My photography style is blended between modern and traditional, with a bit of artistic style. I'm a natural light photographer because I don't want to be confined to a studio. and use any and everything as my backdrop. My style is bright and airy photography with a lots of color, but I can easily adapt to anything depending on the occasion and setting. I strive to make each session unique and bring a client's vision to reality. I'm a bit of a perfectionist and believe in delivering high quality service experience and products, but like to have fun while doing it. I’ve had the opportunity to live and travel around the world, and in doing so, I developed a unique point of view that I share through my photography work.

About me:

I have been married to the love of my life for 27 years and have treasured my family life with our two children. After serving my community for 20 years as a Registered Nurse, I hung up my stethoscope to follow a life-long dream of being my own boss. I've always loved and dabbled in art no matter the medium. I draw, paint and also love decorating cakes but I found a passion for photography several years ago photographing my son's football games. I loved capturing the grind of the action and the true will to win. Now, I'm enjoying photographing families, children, couples and high school seniors. But to be honest, I'd photograph anything you put in front of my lens! If you are in need of photography services, I'd love to chat with you, you can click here to contact me.

Feel free to browse my portfolio here on my website,  or head over to my Facebook page or Instagram to see what I've been up to lately. I'm still here serving my community, just in a more artistic way. Peace and God Bless!

Behind the name:

I'm a Southern Belle through and through and love football, family and good food!!! I was born and raised in New Orleans and when you think of the south you can't help but think of Magnolias. When racking my brain to come up with a name for my business, I wanted to keep some of my south roots, combined with where I call home now which is Colorado Springs. The traditional Magnolia trees, that come to mind, grow in warm southern climates. But there is a special species of Magnolia trees that grow and thrive in colder environments and even at higher altitudes. This species is called the Royal Star Magnolia.  I loved the idea that I'm a Royal Star Magnolia — a southern belle that you can pick up and transplant anywhere and I will continue to thrive and grow stronger even at an altitude of over 6,000 ft!  Hence…Royal Magnolia Photography.
